The Port Lavaca Main Street Theatre recently announced the cast selections for the upcoming children's production of Kenneth Grahame's classic adventure story, The Wind in the Willows. Auditions were held the first week in March and by double-casting many roles, director Jody Weaver has been able to include 33 children, ranging in age from 8 to 16, in this production. In preparation for the play, these young thespians rehearse 2 to 3 times a week.

The Wind in the Willows is a wonderful story of adventure featuring the incorrigible Mr. Toad and his loyal friends Ratty, Mole and Badger.

Badger (Brittnay Dorsett) reluctantly gives little Portly Otter (Faith Fojt) a penny to go home as Rat (Abbey Hammond) looks on in this scene from the children’s production at the Port Lavaca Main Street Theatre, The Wind in the Willows.
